The official, and commercial, version 1.0 of the SDK just hit the interwebs along with the accompanying hardware for a price of $250, or $150 for qualified educational customers. The tool has picked up a number of new features since the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/01/kinect-commercial-sdk-coming-in-2012-video/">last beta</a>, including support for up to four Kinects being used simultaneously and near mode for monitoring motion from just 40cm away. The sensor itself seems mostly the same, but may not be compatible with its console cousin -- the device's product page states that it will <em>only</em> operate with software developed for Kinect for Windows. For more info and a complete list of improvements hit up the source link.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/01/microsoft-kinect-for-windows-version-1-0-available-today/">Microsoft Kinect for Windows version 1.0 available today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 01 Feb 2012 10:29:00 EDT. Remember that Vengeance line of gaming products that Corsair <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/16/corsair-vengeance-gaming-keyboards-mice-and-headsets-hands-on/">outed</a> a few months back? We'll forgive you if not, and we'll also take this opportunity to refresh your memory while affirming that the company is shipping the bulk of 'em out just in time for the holidays. The Vengeance K60 and Vengeance K90 gaming keyboards and the Vengeance M60 and Vengeance M90 laser gaming mice and all clad in aluminum, with the K Series aimed at first-person shooter loyalists and the Ms aimed at those who just generally want to be awesome. You can catch up on the nitty-gritty just after the break, but here's the bad news: the K90, K60, M90 and M60 will go for $129, $109, $79 and $69 in order of mention. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/">Corsair ships Vengeance K90, K60, M90 and M60 gaming mice and keyboards</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/#4682685"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewlunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/#4682686"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewllit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/#4682687"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewkunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/#4682688"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewklit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/corsair-ships-vengeance-k90-k60-m90-and-m60-gaming-mice-and-keyboards/#4682689"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/12/m90viewiunlit_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/15/corsair-ships-vengeance-gaming-mice-and-keyboards-procrastinati/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Corsair ships Vengeance gaming mice and keyboards, procrastinating shoppers rejoice</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/15/corsair-ships-vengeance-gaming-mice-and-keyboards-procrastinati/">Corsair ships Vengeance gaming mice and keyboards, procrastinating shoppers rejoice</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 15 Dec 2011 19:12:00 EDT. If we got you interested in the Tosh's Portege line earlier this week, you can now snag a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/01/toshibas-portege-z830-is-an-ultraslim-ultrasexy-ultrabook/">Z830</a> of your own without leaving the house. Depending on your preference of internals, you'll be able to choose between four models ranging from $929 up to $1,429, or opt to build your own ultraportable starting at $1,099. Of course, you can grab a Z835 direct and avoid Best Buy's guerilla marketing we encountered during <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/18/toshiba-portege-z835-review/">our time</a> with the lightweight -- but you'll miss out on the exclusive <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/10/toshibas-portege-z835-coming-to-best-buy-for-899-aims-for-fea/">$800</a> model. If we got your Spidey senses tingling when we put the Core i5 powered <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/14/acer-aspire-s3-ultrabook-review/">Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook</a> through the wringer, you can now snag an i7 model. Need a quick refresher? The 13.3-inch beaut tips the scales at just about 3 pounds, awakes from naps with haste (in about two seconds) and features a 240GB SSD. Sure, you can now purchase an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/11/apples-us-online-store-begins-selling-unlocked-contract-free-i/">unlocked iPhone 4S</a> within the US officially, but folks in the outlying territory of Puerto Rico have some tempting options if they'll go the long-term contractual route. The region's division of carrier, Claro, is now selling the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/11/siris-uk-voice-answers-questions-about-his-journey-to-the-iphon/">Siri</a>-packed device starting at the low, low price of $99 for the 16GB model on-contract -- those scared of commitment can also snag it unlocked, albeit for a slightly pricey $670 (which as <em>9to5Mac</em> points out, is up $20 from Apple). The carrier also lists the 32 and 64GB variants as "expected soon," marked to sell at $199 / $299 with a two-year commitment and $770 / $870 unlocked. Notably, you'll have a choice of four monthly plans featuring unlimited talk and text ranging from about 65 to 85 bucks, with data allotments starting at 250MB and peaking at "unlimited." Apparently, Claro isn't offering the 4S for purchase online, but it does list a number of retail locations you can grab one from if you're interested. You'll find more details at the source link below.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/11/apple-iphone-4s-now-available-for-99-in-puerto-rico/">Apple iPhone 4S now available for $99... in Puerto Rico</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 11 Nov 2011 23:11:00 EDT. It took 'em a bit longer than expected, but Columbia's still pushing out its complete line of Omni-Heat electric (and in turn, heated) jackets before the holidays. In fact, a few more of these guys have cropped up since we reviewed the (admittedly excellent) Circuit Breaker <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/04/columbia-omni-heat-circuit-breaker-softshell-electric-heated-j/">back in March</a>, including the Electro Amp, Wader Widgeon and Big Game Interchange. As you could probably glean from the titles, the latter two are camouflaged, making them both a) invisible to the human eye and b) totally fit for hunters. Those four are available for gentlemen with between $750 and $1,200 to spare, while the ladies can opt for the electric Hottie ($750) or Circuit Breaker softshell ($850). A <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/04/columbia-rolls-out-omni-heat-electric-gloves-jackets-and-boots/">full line</a> of Omni-Heat gloves and boots are also shipping now, with the source links below pointing you directly to the shopping houses you're after. Have a look at what you're missing just after the break.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/05/columbias-line-of-electric-omni-heat-jackets-gloves-and-boots/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Columbia's line of electric Omni-Heat jackets, gloves and boots on sale, just in time for Old Man Winter</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/05/columbias-line-of-electric-omni-heat-jackets-gloves-and-boots/">Columbia's line of electric Omni-Heat jackets, gloves and boots on sale, just in time for Old Man Winter</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sat, 05 Nov 2011 19:49:00 EDT. Look, when it comes to hunting down a pack for your gadget collection, you've got options. <i>Plenty</i> of options. But not too many options like this. Ona -- a high-end purveyor of handcrafted camera bags -- first caught our eye last year with the markedly functional <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/09/ona-union-street-dslr-laptop-messenger-bag-review/">Union Street</a>, but at the time, we felt that there was an even bigger gap in this universe that could only be filled with a like-minded backpack. So, here it is. The Camps Bay is the outfit's first full-on, back-worn pack designed to carry both a laptop (up to 17-inches, no less), a DSLR and a plethora of lenses and accessories. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/">Ona Camps Bay DSLR / laptop backpack hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/#4578667"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/ona-backpack-hands-on0309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/#4578668"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/ona-backpack-hands-on0307_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/#4578669"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/ona-backpack-hands-on0303_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/#4578670"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/ona-backpack-hands-on0302_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-hands-on/#4578671"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/ona-backpack-hands-on0301_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a></div><br />
In fact, this here bag holds a downright astonishing amount of kit, while looking decidedly unlike every other backpack that you've ever laid eyes on. For quite some time, Kata's brilliantly constructed 3N1-33 (<a href="http://www.gadling.com/2011/01/05/kata-3n1-33-professional-camera-backpack-review/"><em>review</em></a>) was our go-to multi-mode bag; it's <i>largely</i> a perfect combination of laptop sack and camera organizer. But we always found ourselves hung up on a couple of issues. For one, it wasn't capable of swallowing 17-inch multimedia rigs. Secondly, shoving a full-frame body in there (Nikon's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/21/shooting-around-with-the-nikon-d3s-the-field-review/">D3S</a> comes to mind) isn't exactly easy when you're also toting a 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 -- two (huge) hunks of glass that any self-respecting pro almost certainly has access to. Read on for more of our thoughts.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/04/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-review/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ona Camps Bay DSLR / laptop backpack review</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/04/ona-camps-bay-dslr-laptop-backpack-review/">Ona Camps Bay DSLR / laptop backpack review</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 04 Nov 2011 13:45:00 EDT. Look, when it comes to hunting down a pack for your gadget collection, you've got options. <i>Plenty</i> of options. But not too many options like this. Remember that stunner of a PMP that Cowon <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/11/cowons-iaudio-10-does-color-therapy-wont-charge-you-per-hou/">teased us with</a> back in September? Better brush up, 'cause she's shipping out in the US of A starting tomorrow. The iAudio 10 is -- for all intents and purposes -- a refreshed and re-imagined <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/29/cowon-s9-review/">S9</a>, boasting a curved 400 x 240 (3-inch) display, microphone input, TV output, FM radio and a document viewer. Unlike the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/29/cowon-d3-plenue-android-pmp-review-video/">D3</a> before it, the company looks to be eschewing Android on this one for its own homegrown operating system, and in typical Cowon fashion, it'll support practically every file format under the sun. The I10-16WH (16GB) will ship in white for $159.99, while the ebony I10-32BL (32GB) edition will go for $199.99. We're told that the Buy It Now link will be live tomorrow, and we'll update this post just as soon as it arrives in our hands. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/">Cowon iAudio 10 portable media player (press shots)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/#4575412"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/cowoniaudioi105_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/#4575413"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/cowoniaudioi104_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/#4575414"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/cowoniaudioi103_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/#4575415"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/cowoniaudioi102_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/cowon-iaudio-10-portable-media-player-press-shots/#4575416"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/cowoniaudioi101_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/01/cowon-shipping-iaudio-10-pmp-tomorrow-160-and-up/">Cowon shipping iAudio 10 PMP tomorrow: $160 and up</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 01 Nov 2011 18:03:00 EDT.
