My thoughts and prayers go out to the NFL, it's players, coaches, executives and fans; and most importantly the Olsen family. Merlin Olsen played 15 outstanding Hall of Fame seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He played on the most famous d-line in NFL history: "The Fearsome Foursome", which included Olsen, Hall of Famer Deacon Jones, Rosey Grier, and Lamar Lundy. 14 out of Olsens 15 seasons Olsen made the Pro Bowl; making him the fastest player to make 14 Pro Bowls (no player has had more). Today, March 11, 2010 Merlin Jay Olsen passed away; he was 69. |
